Записатися заразIn a world full of noise — we speak clearly
At Lumberjack Barberhouse, we don’t sell “marketing” — we just answer. Honestly, concisely, as it is. Here are the questions real men ask before taking a seat in the barber’s chair — and the answers we give daily, no filters or fluff.
Want to know how long a fade lasts? Whether to shave your head before an interview? How to choose care that doesn’t smell like 2005 shower gel? We’re here to explain. We don’t just cut — we guide. Sometimes even better than Google.
Our FAQ isn’t a formality — it’s part of the service. Because men who choose Lumberjack want to know who they’re dealing with. We leave no room for guessing. Here you’ll find answers to everything: from “what products do you use?” to “can I bring my kid?”
We care whether you understood how to book and whether you know the difference between a classic and a textured crop. If something’s unclear — it’s not your fault. It’s ours for not explaining. And we don’t leave questions unanswered.
In this space — there’s order. And you have a right to it. Just like to honesty, clarity, and service that doesn’t make you Google after a visit. Every question here is part of the style — part of your decision to look sharper, live more confidently, and move forward.
And if you still have a question after this — no problem. We’re here. Always open to conversation. Because confidence starts with clarity.
Partnership & Collaboration
-
Do you work with male grooming brands and cosmetic suppliers?
Yes. We are open to manufacturers, distributors, and importers of men's grooming products. We test in the chair, display in the shop, and sell through barber recommendation. It is not "just a jar on a shelf", it is a working sales channel.
-
What does cooperation with a barbershop network look like for a brand?
Typically it is official supply, staff training on the product, branded display, in-chair usage, and retail sale right after the service. We provide sales analytics, not guesswork.
-
Is branded placement possible (display, POS, in-shop identity)?
Yes. We can allocate branded space, place stands and table tents, and integrate your identity right at the barber's station. Clients see the product before we even apply it.
-
Can you forecast cosmetic sell-through?
We can estimate potential by category (beard, styling, post-shave care) and by city. This is based on real client demand and repeat buys, not guesswork.
-
Who can I talk to about wholesale supply and distribution?
Get in touch with our partnership manager. We discuss terms individually: pricing model, first shipment volume, labeling requirements, and documents.
-
Can we test the product in a few locations before scaling?
Yes. We run a pilot: select several shops, place and use the product in service, track demand. If clients actually buy it, we scale.
-
Can we place branded merch or printed materials in your locations?
Yes, but this is subject to approval. Your visual identity in the barbershop has to feel organic and not break the vibe of the space.
-
How fast can a new product go on sale through the barbershop network?
Speed depends on documents, labeling, and supply readiness. If paperwork is clean and staff is trained, rollout can be very fast.
Employment
-
How do I get a job as a barber in a barbershop?
You need basic skills in men's haircuts and beard work. We look at your before/after portfolio and how you talk to clients — not only at a piece of paper.
-
Do I need an official barber certificate to work?
A certificate or formal training helps, but skill is what matters. If you can actually cut and shape a beard, we care about that first.
-
Do you hire barbers with no experience?
Sometimes we take junior barbers after basic training and develop them in-house. But honestly: you still need a small portfolio, even if it is work done on friends.
-
What does a barber's schedule look like at your place?
The schedule is usually shift-based (for example 2-on/2-off or 3-on/3-off) to avoid burnout. Work does not mean sitting in the chair all day with no break.
-
How much can a barber actually earn?
Income depends on how booked your chair is and how loyal your clients are. The more returning clients you have, the higher your shift total — plus tips.
-
Do you train your barbers internally on technique and service?
Yes. We have internal standards for service, hygiene, client communication, and we keep barbers updated technically. It is not "figure it out alone", it is ongoing training.
-
Can I just come by, show my work, and meet the team?
Yes. The best way is to message us, send a few before/after shots, and set up a live meet when the lead barber has a free window.
-
What personal qualities matter most to you in a barber?
Clean work, calm communication, zero toxicity in the chair, hygiene, and the ability to listen to the request. Technique matters, but service is what brings the client back.
Grooming & Care
-
What men's grooming products do you use during the service?
We use professional barbershop-grade products: shampoos, conditioners, beard oils, post-shave care, and styling without harsh ingredients. Whatever we apply in the chair is available for you to buy right away.
-
Can I buy the exact same beard product the barber used on me?
Yes. After the service, the barber shows you that exact product, explains how often to use it and what it solves (dryness, irritation, coarse beard). You can take it home immediately instead of hunting for it later.
-
How do I choose the right styling product: gel, pomade, or clay?
It depends on your hair type and finish. For glossy, slick looks — pomade. For matte texture without shine — clay. For strong hold — high-hold pastes. Your barber will recommend what actually works with your hair.
-
How do I care for my beard to avoid dryness and itching?
Wash your beard with a dedicated beard shampoo (gentle for facial skin) instead of regular hair shampoo. After showering, apply oil or balm to soften the beard and calm tight, irritated skin.
-
Do I really need a separate beard shampoo, or is regular shampoo enough?
Better to use a dedicated beard wash. Facial skin is more sensitive than scalp skin, and normal shampoo can dry it out. Beard shampoos are milder and help soften coarse beard hair.
-
What is the difference between beard oil and beard balm?
Beard oil softens the skin under the beard, reduces dryness and flaking. Beard balm also gives light hold and shape control, so the beard does not stick out in different directions.
-
Do you have an aftershave product for sensitive skin?
Yes. We have alcohol-free, low-fragrance formulas that calm redness and burning after shaving. The barber will suggest the right one for your skin type.
-
Do you have men's grooming gift sets?
Yes. We build ready gift sets: shampoo + styling, beard oil + balm, post-shave care. So you can buy a present "for him" without running around stores.
Booking & Cancellation
-
How do I book a barber online?
You can book through the online form or by calling the administrator. You select a barber, time and service, and receive confirmation in messenger or SMS.
-
What is the difference between booking a specific barber and "any available barber"?
Booking a specific barber means you get the exact style you are used to. Booking "any available" is usually faster, but without the same personal touch.
-
How do I cancel my booking, and is there a cancellation fee?
If you cannot come, just tell us in advance. We do not charge a fee, but without notice the barber loses a paid slot.
-
What should I do if I am running late to my haircut?
If you are more than 10 minutes late, call or text us. We will tell you if we can still hold the slot or if it is better to reschedule.
-
Can I just walk in if I am nearby right now?
If a chair is free — yes, we will take you. During busy hours though, booking is better so you do not have to wait.
-
Can I book a haircut for my kid or teenager?
Yes, we work with teens as well. The only requirement is that the kid can sit calmly in the chair and is not afraid of the clipper or razor.
-
Can we come together, for example me and a friend at the same time?
Yes. We can book two chairs in parallel. Just tell the administrator that you want to come as a pair.
-
Can I move my booking to another day without losing my priority?
Yes. Just tell us you want another day. If the barber is available, we move the booking instead of cancel-and-rebook.
Pricing, Certificates, Policy
-
How much does a men's haircut cost in a barbershop?
Price depends on the barber's level and the service (haircut, beard, full service). We always show the price list before booking, so there is no surprise at checkout.
-
Why is a barbershop more expensive than a regular hair salon?
You pay not only for "cut it shorter". You get style consultation, beard work, styling, clean tools, hygiene, single-use materials, and a service format built specifically for men.
-
Do you sell a gift certificate for a men's haircut or grooming service?
Yes. You can buy a gift certificate for a specific service or for a chosen amount. It is a popular men's gift when you want to give an experience, not just an item.
-
How does your gift certificate work: is it personal or can I give it to someone else?
You can give the certificate to anyone. The person just books and comes with it. Terms are transparent, with no hidden "extra payment at the salon".
-
Can I return or exchange a gift certificate?
If the certificate was not used and was not attached to a booking, contact the administrator and we will help. After it is redeemed, it is considered used.
-
Can I pay by card or with Apple Pay / Google Pay?
Yes, we accept cashless payment including card and phone wallet. You can confirm payment options at reception before the service.
-
Do you have a policy about clients being late?
Usually we can hold the slot for about 10 minutes. After that the barber may not have enough time to do quality work, and we may need to reschedule.
-
Do you have any house rules for guests?
We ask for basic respect toward the barber and other guests: no aggression, no outside alcohol, no rudeness to staff. A barbershop is a service space, not a bar.
Haircuts & Services
-
Which men's haircut is trending right now, and what services do you offer?
Most requested: classic fade, crop, textured cuts with a clean fade, and beard shaping. We offer full service: haircut, straight razor shave, grey blending, styling, beard care, and product recommendations.
-
How long does a men's haircut take in a barbershop?
On average a haircut takes 30–40 minutes. If you also want beard work or a shave, plan up to 60 minutes. We do not work in a quick "10 minutes and go" format — we shape the cut to your hair growth, style, and lifestyle.
-
Can I bring a photo of a haircut and ask you to make it the same?
Yes. The barber will assess your head shape, hair density and growth direction, and tell you if a 1:1 copy is realistic. If not, we suggest the closest version that will still look natural on you.
-
How often should a man get a haircut to keep the shape?
In general, every 3–4 weeks. For very sharp fades and clean transitions, every 2–2.5 weeks. Beard lines should be shaped even more often to keep them sharp.
-
How is a barbershop different from a regular hair salon for men?
A barbershop is focused on men: haircuts, beard work, straight razor shaving, shaping lines, and home care advice. It is not just "cutting it shorter", it is building your look.
-
Do you offer beard shaping and beard line correction?
Yes. We define your jawline and neck line, clean up the moustache, remove excess bulk, and suggest oil, balm, or wax. It is not just "trim the beard", it is shaping your face style.
-
Can you do grey blending for beard or hair?
Yes. Grey blending is a soft toning service, not a full dye job. The result looks natural and fades gradually, without the obvious "I just dyed it" effect.
-
Can I walk in without booking and get a haircut now?
If the chair is free — yes. But during peak hours barbers are usually fully booked. To avoid waiting, we recommend booking your slot online or by phone.
