The toponymic changes in Kyiv fit perfectly with the desire to immortalize the memory of the US senator. John McCain Street received its name in 2019, which was accompanied by controversy and dissatisfaction among private shop owners who were forced to undergo re-registration. Its old name, which is still recognizable, is Kudry Street.
