Lumberjack — Top Ukrainian Award 2024: for the second year running
Barbershop Chain of the Year in Kyiv.
The second win in a row came in August 2024: the Vybir Krainy (“Country’s Choice”) analytical centre once again recognised Lumberjack Barberhouse in the nomination “Barbershop Chain of the Year in Kyiv”. A year earlier we had received this title for the first time; now we confirmed it.
A first award can still be explained by a lucky coincidence. A second one in a row is already a pattern. That is why it mattered more to us: what was at stake was not a new peak but the reputation of a chain that keeps its word.
A repeat award in the same nomination means that the 2023 level was not a one-off. Everyone held it: both experienced barbers and those who had just joined the team.
The year was no pause: in 2024 the chain opened a new shop in Solomianka. A new shop means new people, and all of them had to work as if they had been with us from the very start.
Vybir Krainy — the “Ranking of the best goods and services · Ukraine” — is compiled by the analytical centre of the same name. Each edition of the rating assesses a separate year, so every next win has to be earned anew.
For a barbershop chain this is the toughest test. The award goes to the chain, not to a single shop, so a guest’s experience has to be the same wherever they book.
And the right and left banks live at different speeds. In Pechersk people drop in to the barber at lunchtime between business meetings; in Pozniaky or Troieshchyna — in the evening, on the way home from work. The standard must not depend on that.
Between Podil and Troieshchyna lie half the city and the Dnipro. A guest who has a haircut near the office today may book near home tomorrow, and the only difference they should notice is the interior.
The 2024 medal took its place next to the first, and together they already tell a story: not a flash, but a trend.

We have described how a visit goes — from the greeting to the final styling — and we train every barber in it. Technique can be developed endlessly, but the baseline level in the chain is the same for everyone.
The same goes for service: a clear price list, a clean workstation, punctuality and attention to wishes. If a guest got this in one shop, they have every right to expect the same in another.
There are requirements for the space too: a shop should look as if a photo shoot is about to start — no dust, no hair on the floor, no dirty cup or crookedly displayed products. The rule is the same at every address.

A record impresses once. Consistency works every day: a guest who knows what to expect calmly comes back and confidently recommends the barbershop to friends.
In 2024 we proved that the chain’s level rests not on a few star barbers but on an approach the whole team understands. That is exactly what the repeat award confirmed.
The second win also brought responsibility. When you are recognised twice in a row, guests arrive with higher expectations, and we see that as a normal, healthy bar.
The run did not stop there: 2025 brought a third award in a row, and 2026 a fourth.
